A man, who had just been released from a hospital only a couple days prior, died Monday while at the El Paso County Jail.
Jamin Robertson, 42, died early Monday morning while being housed in the medical unit of the jail, according to an El Paso County Sheriff’s Office news release. Officials found him unresponsive and not breathing in his cell at about 5:45 a.m.
Medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but Robertson died.
Robertson had been sent to a hospital on Aug. 29 for a “medical issue,” and was released from the hospital back to the jail Saturday.
The El Paso County coroner will conduct an autopsy to find the cause of death.
